Nathan Vetter

Nathan Vetter began his professional career at age 14, playing gigs in Des Moines, Iowa. After spending his high school years winning contests and playing in prestigious musical ensembles, Nathan went to the University of Northern Iowa, noted for its high-caliber jazz program. But soon enough, Iowa could no longer hold his talent, and like many aspiring musicians, Nathan headed out East, to study jazz at William Paterson College, a New Jersey institution with a prestigious jazz school, just across the bridge from New York City, where he studied under such legendary trombonists as Conrad Herwig (who has played with such greats as Eddie Palmieri and Joe Henderson) and Steve Turre, who currently plays in the Saturday Night Live Band. After playing in and around New York, Nathan returned to Iowa, where he was a jazz instructor at Drake University. Today, his career consists of teaching private lessons and gigging around the Northwest.

Nathan teaches at the Mercer Island Music Store location, 3631 82nd Ave SE, 98040.
