“Let’s play Violin!”

My passion is teaching violin to beginners of all ages. Teaching students as young as four years old is as rewarding as it is challenging. My philosophy is to make playing the violin fun and empowering for each individual student.

It is with patience and warmth that I give children a love for music and for learning in general.

We begin by playing by example, then from memory which leads into my “Big Note Method”. Students learn basic notes, theory, how to read music, and play several songs within weeks.

I began studying violin at the age of six. I am both very passionate and accomplished as a result of this early exposure. Raised in the Northwest, and one of eight children, music has always been foremost in our family as well as in my heart. I specialize in both classical and fiddle-style genres, and teach private lessons on Mercer Island and Maple Valley.
