Kevin Nortness


Kevin has been an active member of Seattle’s music, theater, and dance communities as a composer and multi- instrumentalist for the past eighteen years-  eight years of which was spent with the performance company Degenerate Art Ensemble as collaborating composer and performer. His pallet as multi-instrumentalist spans saxophones, clarinets, flute, trumpet, double bass, guitar, piano, cello, banjo, and drums. He has had works commissioned by the Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, the Poncho Foundation, Artist Trust, and Meet The Composer.  Kevin studied performance and composition at Cornish College of the Arts and Portland State University as apprentice to the pianist and composer Andrew Hill. He also studied audio engineering at Shoreline Community College.
