Katrina Kope

Katrina has been involved in the Seattle music scene since 2001 as Katrina Wible and now as Katrina Kope after getting married in August of 2009. Katrina was “jazzically” trained at Cornish College of the Arts but is continually learning from and growing with her fellow musicians.

Currently, Katrina is performing jazz around the area as the Katrina Kope Quartet for private as well as public events. You can also find her with her lovely band called Soul Kata. Soul Kata performs original Funk/R&B/Pop music as a 9 piece band and recently had their 2nd CD release at the Triple Door mainstage in August of 2009. Katrina has also been working on a solo electronic/pop project under the name Kat Meow as well as Leisure Sound and Irakandji and other bands in the Northwest Music Scene. Her performance venues include Tula’s, The Tractor Tavern,  The Triple Door, The Crocodile, Lucid Seattle Jazz Lounge, Benaroya Hall, Vino Bella, the Space Needle,  Sorrento Hotel, The Rainier Club, The Red Bicycle, The Scarlet Tree, Zig Zag Cafe, The Royal Argosy, The Rendezvous Jewelbox Theatre, ToST, Nectar, the High Dive, The Bravern and many others.

Katrina teaches beginning and intermediate piano, Vocal-jazz blues and pop, and jazz theory and composition.
